II.Mustafa’s Consideration of the Consulatncy and the Reduction of 1703 Edition

Abstract

Özet: Bu çalışmada II. Mustafa’nın (1695-1703), Köprülü Mehmed Paşa’nın soyundan gelen ve kapısından yetişen veziriazamlarla olan mücadelesi ele alınmıştır. Mücadelede ilmî kimliği ve siyasi gücüyle ön plana çıkan Şeyhülislam Feyzullah Efendi önemli rol oynamıştır. II. Mustafa, kendi döneminde görev yapan veziriazamları dizginlemek için Feyzullah Efendi’ye olağanüstü yetkiler tanıdığından, bu mücadele padişahı temsilen şeyhülislam ve veziriazam arasında meydana gelmiştir. Güç mücadelesine halkın, ilmiye mensupları ve ordunun katılımıyla 1703 Edirne Vakası ortaya çıkmış, bu olay neticesinde II. Mustafa tahttan indirilirken kardeşi III. Ahmed tahta geçmiştir.

Abstract: In this study, II. Mustafa (1695-1703) was dealt with the struggle with the vizirates coming from the gate of Köprülü Mehmed Pasha. Şeyhülislam Feyzullah Efendi played an important role in the struggle with scientific identity and political power in the struggle. II. Mustafa took place between the shaykh al-Islam and vizierazam as a representative of this struggle padishah, since he gave extraordinary powers to Feyzullah Efendi to restrain the viziers who served in his period. 1703 Edirne Vakası emerged with the participation of people, lore members and armies, .II. Mustafa was sent to the throne, his brother III. Ahmed passed the throne.
