Abstract

Öz: 1853-56 Kırım Harbi esnasında meydana gelen Sinop Muharebesi, Osmanlı Devleti’nin çok sayıda şehit verdiği, esir ve yaralıların hayli fazla olduğu aynı zamanda12 savaş gemisini kaybettiği önemli bir muharebedir. Bu muharebenin sonucunda İngiltere ve Fransa savaşa katılmışlardır. Bu makalede savaşın karşı cephesi olan Rus tarih yazımında Sinop Muharebesi’ne nasıl bakıldığı incelenmeye çalışılmıştır.

Abstract: 1853-56 The Battle of Sinop which took place during the Crimean War was an important battle where the Ottoman Empire gave many martyrs. Many soldiers were captured and wounded, and at the same time 12 war ships were lost. As a result of this battle, Britain and France joined the war. This article attempts to examine how the battle of Sinop was viewed in Russian historiography, the counter-front of Ottomans in the war.
