Voice and Photograph in Sabahattin Ali’s Stories

Abstract

Öz: Türk edebiyatında toplumcu gerçekçi anlayışın önemli temsilcilerinden olan Sabahattin Ali, roman ve hikâyelerindeki resim ve ses’lerin arasında çeşitli sosyal meseleleri anlatmaya çalışmıştır. Özellikle hikâyelerinde verilen resimler, sosyal gerçekçi manzaraya çerçeve çizerken ses, bu manzaradaki gizli bir isyan’ı ifade eder. Bu bağlamda onda ses, fotoğrafın arabı olarak adlandırılabilir. Bu yazıda, Sabahattin Ali’nin hikâyelerindeki fotoğraf ve sesler arasındaki diyaloğa odaklanacak, fotoğrafla arabı arasındaki ilişkiler irdelenecektir.

Abstract: Sabahattin Ali, one of the important representatives of socialist realism u in Turkish literature, tried to explain various social issues between photographs and voices in his novels and stories. The voice expresses the secret rebellion in this view especially when the photographs in their stories frame the social realistic landscape. In this context, the voice in his works can called the pictures’ before the picture are displayed/resolved. In this article, the dialogue between the photographs and voices of Sabahattin Ali's stories will be analysed, and the relations between the photographs and the time before the pictures’ were displayed/resolved will be examined.
